After 5 years of anonymous web work, including over a year of hiding behind a “Gone on holiday” single page portfolio, it’s time for me to drop the virtual disguise and come out to the web community; My name is Leon Chevalier, and I am a web designer. There, I said it.

Of course, anyone can claim to be a web designer. Anyone with a bit of basic computer knowledge and Google ability could put a website online. So, real bona-fide web designers need to prove their worth - show their skills go way beyond the average and into the realms of the virtuoso. is my attempt to do that; my expert display of web-fu.

I am available for hire for a variety of web work, and can be contacted at leon@ this domain. Feel free to get in touch.

hey - thanks a ton for the php speedy plug-in.
i’m seeing some very nice gains - basically across my websites i’m reducing html page sizes to 1/3rd or 1/4th and its hard to quantify the speed improvements - however there’s a noticeable improvement. (basically a combo of supercache + php speedy is cutting my times from 3 to 4 seconds to 1 or 2 seconds - even lower).
after spending countless hours researching and testing i have to say the top 2 plugins (and in my limited research these encompass most of the benefit you can get) are
wp-super cache + php speedy.
(and of course basic stuff like not having 200 kb+ pages).

thanks a ton.

Hi Leon,

I’ve neglected this great little plugin for way too long. Would I be able to get your permission to modify it and include it as a module in OIOpublisher (since it fills a huge void for some users)?

Obviously I’d make sure you were credited both in the code and on the admin page where it appears.

Oh and I’ve just realised I put the above comment in totally the wrong section (it was meant to be on the custom slug plugin page. Sorry about that!

Abhi - thanks

mbahnya - you need to change the permissions on the php_speedy_wp/cache/ file to allow full access. If that doesn’t work, find line 543 in php_speedy_wp.php and remove this: ‘unlink($this->options['cache_dir']['value'] . ‘/debugging_info.txt’);’

Simon - sure, feel free
